SEIU is trying to confuse the issue. They may threaten that you will get fired if you stop payroll deduction of dues. That is simply not true—you have no obligation to pay dues through payroll deduction.
They may also contact you at work or at home to get you to sign back up for payroll deduction for dues. How you pay dues is your choice, and you can tell them that… or you can just ignore their phone calls.
